At my last year of Boy Scout Camp, my friends and I decided to make a fort in the woods. We fould a nice spot, and comenced building. Using twine, and rope, as well as a screen door we just happened to find, we single handedly won the gateway contest.
we chose a location, and cleared it. We found quite a few downed trees, and they were cut up a bit to work.
Justin lashed the first main beam up while Zack and I held it. We placed the end of the next log on top of this one, and lashed the other end down, to save on rope.
We used canteleiver technology to hold the roof up so that your head didn't hit the roof. The rock wasn't nessecary, Zack and Justin had already tied a rope to hold it up, and I had just gotten back with the rock, so I just put it on because I had already come this far. Lmao.
We layed sticks against the main beams, and wove two sticks running parelell to the main beams, on towards the top, and one at the bottom. We then wove branches with leaves ans stuff in to make the walls.
And now its finished! We decided to call it Woody's Retreat, because a former scoutmaster of my troop, and the camp master for almost 20 years was retiring, so we dedicated it to him.
Versii says, "What is he doing....I'm scared."
