bendable, stopmotion character.

Jesse and I teach a Bible class for grades 5-8 for church. One time, we all made silly characters to later be used in a movie. I made a wire skeleton, then wrapped it with different fabrics and fastened it with hot glue...nothin' fancy... His head is made out of Sculpey. For his hands, I wrapped string around the wire stubs and, again, just used hot glue to keep it all in place. (We don't have a lot of sophisticated supplies in our kids class...) Then I just slapped a coat of paint on him. He can be posed very easily, and his head turns. His name is Herman.

He's about 8 inches tall.
Here is Herman as he contemplates being an inanimate object...
Here his is being frustrated that he has to be posed by someone else in order to emote.

Thanks!

The church we go to is in Bellevue, WA. It's called 24-Seven Ministry center. Here is the website:

www.24-seven.org

It's a Seventh Day Adventist Church that is focused on reaching a younger audience, so much of our congregation is young adult.

Do you live in Washington?

Very cool...I live in NC. Our church is made up mainly of young families so we have a lot of elementary age children. I love teaching Sunday School and using some creativity to help illustrate the messages. You guys ROCK!
