I decided to see what I could make with very little hardware. The answer, a great game! Using a low power Nokia 3310 LCD and a single 8pin PIC 12f683 only, I made a boulderdash clone.
The whole thing runs from a single CR2032 battery and is small enough to wear as a watch (if you use the smt version of the pic) and lasts for days on a single battery.
Input via a tilt sensor at the moment, but can be via a joystick using a resistor network on the single analog input pin.
